NCJW|LA is proud to host Mazon's This is Hunger exhibit for three days, from August 16 through August 18 at NCJW|LA Council House. Hunger is a specter in the lives of far too many Americans - especially women, who are 35% more likely to live in poverty than men.
MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger and the National Council of Jewish Women|Los Angeles invite you to visit the This is Hunger truck for a 45-minute long interactive exhibit on the experiences of those who face hunger in the US and what we can all do to help alleviate this crisis.
The exhibit will be open to visitors during the below times (hour long shifts) so make sure to go to the Eventbrite link to sign up for one of the shifts:
Wednesday, 8/16 from 1:00pm - 5:00pm
Thursday, 8/17 from 11:00am - 6:00pm
Friday, 8/18 from 9:00am - 1:00pm
These sessions will offer visitors the opportunity to participate in the complete 45 minute exhibit. Tours will be offered hourly and registration is required. Please register here: https://thisishunger-ncjw.eventbrite.com
On Thursday, August 17, NCJW|LA and Mazon will co-host a special program, This is Women's Hunger: A Conversation at 7 pm at NCJW|LA. This event is co-sponsored by the Feminist Majority Foundation and will feature Abby Leibman, President and CEO of MAZON and Helen Davidov, President of NCJW|LA.
